Merlin -  A mystical glossy, multicoloured glaze. You can see the real magic when you bring these decorative ceramic bowls out into the sunlight. Merlin colours vary from almost black to a softer blue, some are purple with lots of subtle colour magic in-between.

Black 100% silicon lid.

All decorative ceramic bowls with a lid are handmade and one of a kind. You will receive a bowl similar to the bowls pictured but there are no two the same. Variations in size, colour and markings is what makes them unique!  
Pottery For The Planet Bowls are made of ceramic and must be handled with care. Ceramic will crack if knocked or dropped.

Specifications are approximate because although we do our best to keep things uniform being handmade you can expect variations in size, weight, shape, texture, pattern and volume. 

Small Bowl: height - 5cm, width - 14cm, volume - 360ml, weight - 500g - 600g
Large Bowl: height - 7cm, width - 19cm, volume - 750ml, weight - 900g - 1kg

Versatile & Pretty Style

I just love to use these beautifully styled bowls, so versatile for dips, soup, mixed nuts, their use is never ending. Easy catering, pop the lid on and off at the last minute.

Can not wait for summer!

I have always appreciated the skill involved in handmade pottery and prefer to purchase handmade over mass produced when I am in a position to do so. So when I was introduced to Pottery for the Planet it felt like it was only a matter of time before I became a customer. I absolutely love my flamingo bowl - it is the perfect size to take a salad or sweet treat along to a barbecue or picnic and will hold left overs beautifully. It was greatly admired when it was unpacked so I'm sure I will be making another purchase for Christmas presents soon!!

Love my bowl

Love my bowl! Use it all the time! Would also love to use it in the oven and have used my other ceramic bowls in the oven- is there a reason it says these ones cannot be used for that purpose?

When using ceramics in the oven, it's important to prevent thermal shock by gradually heating the pottery along with the oven. While ceramics are generally safe for oven use, avoid extreme temperature changes like going from a cold fridge to a preheated oven. For best results, place your pottery in the oven before it heats up.

Please note that our Travel Bowls are not intended for baking, such as making lasagna. Additionally, we recommend keeping the silicone lid slightly ajar during heating, similar to how you would microwave food.
