Rainforest Jasper is a beautiful Crystal Glaze, showing crystal growth in the matrix of the fired glaze. It resembles the green form of Rhyolite that is found in Western Australia.

White 100% silicone lid.

All green ceramic bowls are handmade and one of a kind. You will receive a bowl similar to the bowls pictured but there are no two the same. Variations in size, colour, and markings are what make them unique!

Pottery For The Planet Bowls are made of ceramic and must be handled with care. Ceramic will crack if knocked or dropped.

Specifications are approximate because although we do our best to keep things uniform being handmade you can expect variations in size, weight, shape, texture, pattern, and volume.

It looks better in person. The photos don’t give justice on the hues and colour this bowl has in the light. I have owned my bowl for the past two years and its a staple in my routine. I am thinking of buying a third bowl.

This is my third Pottery for the Planet bowl. The first two (more rustic, black lids) were purchased at QVMAG, Launceston, Tasmania, and are used daily. But I needed a third, to cater for visitors who also like bircher muesli (or my variation of it) that sits overnight to mature. And it's all good, of course!

What size should I choose?

The Small Bowl (360ml) suits breakfast bowls, chia puddings, dips, and smaller meals. The Large Bowl (750ml) is better for salads, pasta, rice dishes, ramen, and bigger lunches. If you are using it mainly at a desk or for a standard work lunch, the Large is the more versatile pick. If you are after something for snacks, dips, or a lighter meal, the Small works well.

Does the bowl come with a lid?

Yes, every Travel Bowl comes with a 100% silicone lid. The lid is sealable so you can transport meals without worrying about spills and store leftovers in the fridge between uses. It is not fully airtight, so keep the bowl upright during transport for very liquid-heavy meals. Replacement lids are available separately in the Accessories collection in Small and Large sizes.

Will my bowl look exactly like the photo?

No two bowls are identical. Each one is shaped, glazed, and fired by hand, so the glaze colour, markings, and depth on your bowl will be similar to what is pictured but will have its own natural variation. Specifications are also approximate for the same reason. That is what makes each piece genuinely one of a kind.

Can I use it in the microwave or dishwasher?

The ceramic bowl is microwave safe. Remove the silicone lid before microwaving, and start with shorter intervals as the ceramic retains heat and can get very hot. Both the bowl and lid are dishwasher safe, though hand washing will help preserve the glaze over time.

Can I store food in the fridge with the lid on?

Yes. The silicone lid creates a good seal for fridge storage, making the Travel Bowl useful for meal prep and leftovers as well as transport. The bowl goes straight from the fridge to the table. It is not fully airtight, so very liquid-heavy contents are best kept upright.
