This teapot is beautiful to pour from it never drips. It’s solid but not heavy. The colour is gorgeous. The size is perfect. I can get two large cups out of it or four small. The only thing I wish it had is a steeping basket but other than that it’s perfect, I love this teapot.

Sexy lime is a beautiful glaze.
Our teapots have a traditional built in strainer. In the instance you're using fine tea leaves you may find an external strainer to pour into helpful.

Beautiful Teapot

Very beautifully made teapot. It pours very well and is easy to hold. It looks beautiful, and arrived in one piece and on time. The only thing I’d recommend is adding a removable metal/mesh strainer to put inside or including an individual cup strainer as an accessory to purchase as well.

Would highly recommend this teapot.

The glazes PFTP use are just stunning and I'm never disappointed with my orders. This teapot pours beautifully and is a gorgeous shape. The in-built strainer doesn't remove the smaller bits of tea, but I don't really mind that and just pour through a mesh strainer if I feel the need.

Beautiful teapot

I really love the teapot , but wish it had the little mesh thing that some teapots have inside as I don’t use tea bags, use a lot of nice herbals and would have loved a lip in the edge of the teapot lid to make it stay on when pouring that last scrumptious bit.

Hi Penny, thanks for your review of our Hansel Teapot. We're sorry to hear you're not 100% happy with this product. Our Teapots feature an inbuilt ceramic strainer at the base of the spout, however, if you use very fine loose leaves there might be some escaping into the cup, and this is when we recommend a tea strainer to sit over your cup and pour the tea through.
We'll definitely raise this with our production team, to see if we can incorporate a finer strainer in future designs.
In the meantime, we hope you continue to enjoy using your teapot!

How big is this teapot?

Teapot sizes vary across the range. The Beth is the only teapot that comes in two sizes, Small (350ml, suited to one cup) and Large (1000ml, suited to four cups). The Tinkerbell is a compact solo teapot designed for one. Most other teapots in the range are a mid-to-larger size suited to two cups or more. Check the specifications on this product page for the exact capacity of the teapot you are looking at, keeping in mind that all dimensions are approximate as each piece is handmade.

Does it come with a lid?

Yes, every teapot comes with a matching ceramic lid. Most teapots in the range also have a macramé cord attached to the lid, which keeps it tethered to the pot while pouring so you never have to set it down mid-brew. Check the product photos and description for this specific teapot to confirm whether the macramé cord is included. All teapots feature an oversized handle for a comfortable, secure grip when pouring.

Is this suitable for loose leaf tea?

The teapots are designed with the ritual of loose leaf brewing in mind. We recommend using a separate tea strainer or infuser basket when pouring to catch the leaves. Check the individual product page for any style-specific notes on straining.

Will my teapot look exactly like the photo?

No two teapots are identical. Each one is handmade and fired individually, so the glaze colour, depth, and markings on your teapot will be similar to what is pictured but will have its own natural variation. Specifications are approximate for the same reason. That variation is what makes every piece genuinely one of a kind.

How do I care for my teapot?

All teapots are high-fired for durability and designed for regular use. Hand washing is recommended to preserve the glaze over time. As with all ceramic pieces, handle with care as the teapot will crack if knocked or dropped. Avoid sudden temperature changes. Warm the pot with a little hot water before brewing if it has been sitting in a cold cupboard.
