The Anchor Mug

The mugs in the range are designed for home and desk use rather than travel. They do not come with a lid and are not compatible with Travel Cup lids. They work well for any hot drink such as coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and because they are handmade from high-fired clay, they retain heat well. Check the individual product page for the specific size and capacity of the mug you are looking at.

No two mugs are identical. Each one is handmade and glazed individually, so the glaze colour, depth, and markings on your mug will be similar to the photo but will have its own natural variation. Specifications are approximate for the same reason. That variation is exactly what makes a handmade mug worth choosing over something mass produced.

Yes, all mugs are dishwasher safe. They are high-fired for durability and built for daily use. Hand washing will help preserve the glaze over a longer period, but the mugs can handle the dishwasher with normal use. As with any ceramic, avoid knocking or dropping as this can cause cracking or chipping.

All mugs in the range have a handle, though the style varies between shapes. The Belly Mug is designed to be cradled with both hands and has a smaller handle, while straighter styles have a more traditional looped handle. Check the product photos for the specific mug you are considering to see the handle style clearly.

Mugs are consistently one of the most gifted items in the range. Because every piece is handmade and one of a kind, the person receiving it has something genuinely unlike anything else. If you are buying as a gift and want to make it more substantial, pairing a mug with a matching Travel Cup in the same glaze is a popular combination.
