Australia's First Solar Fired Travel Cup

Limited Edition Sunny Day Solar Fired Travel Cup in collaboration with Climate Council, Australia's leading Climate Change communications organisation.

With our newly installed solar panels on the roof, we fire these pieces in electric kilns to produce Australia’s first commercially available solar-fired ceramic travel cups.

Introducing our Limited Edition Sunny Day Travel Cup developed in association with Climate Council. This cup has been made using our solar-powered kilns. This means this product has been produced with zero emissions and is an absolute one of a kind.

The unique textured effect of the Sun on the solar cup was created using a special, locally-sourced clay that was found on the building site of a housing subdivision here on the Sunshine Coast.

Sustainability and Reusability are two pillars we constantly want to improve on and we're more than grateful to have Climate Council support us along the way.

When you enjoy our sun-powered ceramic travel cup, we hope you’ll be inspired to think about what else you can do to reduce emissions. Things like switching over to a green energy provider, installing your own solar panels and battery, or investigating electric vehicles. Being more sustainable is really easy and very rewarding.

These sunny day solar-fired ceramic keep cups are handmade and one of a kind. You will receive a cup similar to those pictured but there are no two the same, with variations in size, colour, and markings - but that's what makes them unique!

Pottery For The Planet Cups are made of ceramic and must be handled with care. We high-fire all our products for added durability but ceramic will crack if dropped.

Specifications are approximate with slight variations in size, weight, shape, texture, pattern, and volume. Pottery For The Planet Cups are designed to fit into cup holders for cars and prams.

These are limited edition cups and will only come in 6oz, 8oz and 12oz.

6oz - height 8 - 9cm, width 7.5-8.5cm, volume - 180ml, weight 180-220g

8oz - height 10 -11cm, width 8.5-9.5cm, volume - 240ml, weight - 220-260g

12oz - height 12 - 13cm, width 8.5-9.5cm, volume - 350ml, weight - 260- 320g

NOTE - specifications are approximate. Height includes the lid.

Perfect for my lattes

Beautiful and Sustainable

We have two sets of small and large bowls, mugs and a couple of ice coffee cups each. They are both beautiful and easy to clean. We love the different styles and the colours pop, stimulating great conversations at work. The large bowl is a great size for lunch and the small suits snacks, fruit or a small salad. The large ice coffee cups also double up as extra large hot coffee cups for long distance travel. We enjoy having sustainable lunch ceramics for work and being part of the change and the flexibility in being able to interchange lid colours. Products are packaged really well for delivery.

Iced Coffee Cup

Whilst we do our best to keep things uniform, the beauty of being an artisan product is that you can expect some variation in size, weight, shape, texture, glaze finish & volume. This is due mostly to the kiln firing process which affects all these variables.
