Exactly what I expected, amazing quality and beautiful design. The silicone lid fits very snuggly, so it's quite spill proof. Only thing I recommend is a sillicone thermal sleeve for hot drinks.

My previous purchases have always had that hand thrown vib, sadly even though I was really looking forward to getting this cup it feels like a mass produced item 😢 it is thinner and lighter and smaller than I’d hoped despite it being the medium sized cup. It’s the only cup I’ve bought from this company that I’ve been disappointed with. This cup is in the middle of the other cups for size comparison. It’s hard to tell by the photos but it’s much smaller and cheaper feeling than the other ones.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're sorry to hear that the Fluted Artisan Mug didn't meet your expectations. Due to the fluting technique used, the mug may feel lighter than our other cups as it carves our some of the clay in the process.
Just to clarify, the Fluted Artisan Mug is an 8oz size whereas our Belly Mugs shown in your phote are 12oz. However, rest assured that all of our artisan range mugs are hand-thrown. Absolutely loved the is bowl in both sizes. Perfect for salads. Unfortunately broke the first time I microwaved it (1 min) so I’m pretty devastated.
